"Rare Item" Boucheron Carre 18k YG Manual winding movement, Original strap

Thanks to recent features on HODINKEE, vintage Boucheron is currently a highly sought-after item.
We are pleased to introduce a rare Boucheron Carrée, a late-period manual-winding model.

This is a late-period Carrée, specifically a model from after 1970.

It features a special clasp system that is rare nowadays.
This patented system is not as bulky as a deployant clasp, is lightweight, comfortable to wear, and exceptionally easy to use.
While it does not have a slide-and-remove clasp system like the Reflet, it offers the advantage of freely adjustable length.

The late-period models are quite rare and feature improved precision in the case and dial construction, and the engravings on the case and movement have changed.
A distinctive feature of this watch is that both the case and the dial are finished with the same Clous de Paris pattern.

Regarding its condition, the case has minor scratches but no major dents.
It is essentially unpolished, but the case condition is remarkably good considering its age.
The case back has minor scratches, and since the engravings and text are slightly faded, they have been left as is.

The dial, hands, etc., have some scratches and light dirt, but are considered quite clean given their age.
The crystal also has some minor scratches and small chips, but is generally clean.
There are no other particularly noticeable areas, and it has not been polished to maintain its original condition.
Considering its age, the overall condition is good.

The band is an original Boucheron band with some signs of wear.
It is still perfectly usable, but if you are concerned, custom orders are also available.
However, when creating a new band, it is necessary to dismantle the existing band to remove the clasp, which means the current band will need to be damaged.
Therefore, we recommend replacing the band only when the current one has reached the end of its lifespan.
