Genuine Strap Patek Philippe Calatrava/C-Line ref. 3574

Patek Philippe, established in 1839, is one of the world's finest watch manufacturers. The Calatrava, symbolizing the brand and representing the pinnacle of dress watches, is a classic and an aspirational timepiece that continues to reign supreme. This Ref. 3574 is a rare and special Calatrava model, featuring a stainless steel screw-back case with a C-line design, making it a well-known piece among collectors. While most Calatravas have solid gold cases, all watches in the Ref. 3579 series are stainless steel and were produced for only about five years, from 1969 to 1974, making them quite rare. Its three-dimensional construction is remarkable, with a flat bezel and C-line where polished and brushed finishes seamlessly transition. The delicate edge angles and smoothness vary from part to part, a testament to Patek's craftsmanship. The value of blue dials of this type has significantly increased. Silver dials are still more affordably priced, so now might be a good time to acquire one. A particularly noteworthy aspect of this watch is its excellent condition. The dial and hands, components that often deteriorate in vintage watches, are miraculously almost pristine. The case has minor scratches but is generally in very good condition with few significant dents or damages. There is almost no sign of a worn-down case or rounded shape. The edges are also very clean. The finishing was exceptionally well done when we acquired it, and the polishing remains consistent with that finish. (The finishing is very beautiful.) The Patek Philippe seal is still on the case back, though it has faded slightly, we have left it as is. The dial, hands, and crystal are all clean, with almost no dirt or scratches. The condition is wonderfully good. The watch is fitted with a new genuine Patek Philippe crocodile strap. The buckle is originally stainless steel, but since we didn't have one on hand, we fitted it with a vintage Patek Philippe 18K white gold buckle. Those who prefer stainless steel can purchase one from Patek Philippe (it's not very expensive, so we recommend it). Overhauled and maintained by our store.
