Jaeger-LeCoultre Lapis Lazuli Dial Blue YG
We highly recommend this to Jaeger-LeCoultre enthusiasts and those who appreciate fine machinery.
Introducing a square YG with a lapis lazuli dial, released in the 1970s.
This model boasts exceptional beauty with its lapis lazuli dial and the exquisite engraving on its case. Furthermore, it's a high-performance timepiece, equipped with a renowned movement.
Among LeCoultre's lapis lazuli dial models, those with an engraved case like this one are exceedingly rare and unique.
It is equipped with the Cal. 818/2 movement.
The Cal. 818/2 is considered a masterpiece, having also been supplied to Vacheron Constantin and serving as the base caliber for one of the "Big Three" watchmakers.
Regarding the exterior:
The Roman dial features a delicate design with deep blue lapis lazuli sprinkled with gold dust.
The square case is adorned with even finer engraving.
Few other models feature such intricate case designs, making its elaborate craftsmanship a distinctive characteristic.
The strap is crafted from Cordovan, considered the "finest" among many types of leather.
In terms of condition, there are no significant dents or scratches.
While the dial, hands, etc., show some scratches and dirt, they are considered clean given their age.
The crystal is free of scratches and is very clean.
There are no other particularly noticeable areas, and no polishing has been done to maintain its original condition.
Considering its age, the overall condition is good.
