Cartier Tank Normale LM Hand-wound PARIS Dial, minimal cracking, Ref. 78092

Currently under negotiation The Tank Normale LM, a model that is said to be the prototype of the Tank series, is highly sought after. This Normale LM, from the 1970s Louis Cartier Collection, is particularly rare due to its limited production numbers, and this particular piece features the highly valuable "PARIS" dial from that era. What's more, it's an exceptionally rare item in remarkably good condition, with almost no cracks on the dial. Many Tank Normale pieces have cracks, making them very hard to find, but we were fortunate to acquire this one. The case is also in excellent condition, a level of preservation rarely seen, so we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Normale in good condition. The case is in good condition overall, with few major dents or scratches. Although it has undergone a light polish, the edges and shape are largely preserved, suggesting that it was in good original condition. There are minor scratches, but we have left them as is to preserve its original state. There are no dents. The case back has minor scratches, but the Cartier logo and serial number are very well preserved, and it is in good condition. Both the front and back of the case are in excellent condition. The dial is a rare "PARIS" dial from that period. It is in excellent condition with virtually no cracks. The only imperfection is a very fine scratch or crack near the 4 o'clock position, which is barely noticeable without a loupe. The dial color is white, with very little discoloration, just a slight hint in the corners between 4-5 o'clock and at 11 o'clock. This is also at a barely noticeable level. There are almost no scratches. Glass scratches are also minimal, almost non-existent. There are minor scratches on the hands, but they are clean considering their age. Overall, this piece can be said to be in very clean condition. The buckle is an original 18k YG D-buckle.
