EarlyModel. Cartier Gondolo WG Ref. 78085 ParisDial No Dial Cracks
This is the Gondolo from the Tank Louis Cartier collection, introduced in the 1970s and now discontinued.
In particular, this horizontally elongated version is rarer and more valuable than the vertically elongated type.
White Gold examples were produced in very small numbers, making them especially rare. In addition, this piece has a single-digit Serial Number, indicating that it was among the very earliest examples produced, making it a historically significant watch.
Although it is an SM size, it has dimensions suitable for wear as a unisex or boys’ watch. It is recommended for those who prefer a petite watch or want a versatile shared timepiece.
The hands are black rather than heat-blued, as this is an early example.PRODUCT DETAILS
Condition and Warranty
The case is in excellent overall condition, with few significant dents or scratches.
There are some minor scratches, but the case shows no signs of thinning or a softened shape. The rhodium plating remains.
The case back retains its Serial Number and is exceptionally clean. There are a few minor scratches and light impact marks, but they are insignificant.
The crystal and dial show no noticeable scratches or significant deterioration.
The dial is a beautiful original PARIS Dial from the period, with no cracks or discoloration, and is in exceptionally good condition.
The hands are also in excellent condition.
