This is a rare Automatic model within the Louis Cartier collection, known as the Jumbo or XL.
The Ref.17002 introduced here is, as its Jumbo name suggests, larger than the LM model, which measures 24 mm.
There are broadly two types of Automatic Jumbo, and this is the largest size at 28 mm.
To accommodate the thick, rotor-equipped movement, the caseback is raised, giving the case its notably substantial thickness.
This size and thickness are particularly rare in the Louis Cartier collection.
The 17002 is scarce on the market, and many collectors may be searching for one.
This example has a replacement PARIS Dial.
Replacement dials are generally Swiss Made dials, but this one unusually features a PARIS Dial.
It is also distinctive in lacking the secret signature at the 7 o’clock position, which is normally present on replacement dials.
As the original dial had a serial number close to that of the early production lots and lacked the secret signature, we presume that the replacement dial was made without the signature to match it. This is an exceptionally rare example.

Condition and Warranty
Cartier performed a complete service in January 2025, and the watch is covered by a 24-month manufacturer’s warranty from that date, providing peace of mind.
The case is in very good overall condition, with few major dents or scratches.
There is no sign of thinning or rounding of the case shape. The gold hallmark on the side remains intact.
Cartier performed a light polish, but the case remains in excellent condition.
The crystal is original and has been replaced with a new one.
The dial is a PARIS Dial with a beautifully clean white finish. It has no cracks or scratches whatsoever.
Although it is a newer dial, the white is not overly bright, giving it an Understated appearance. Replacement dials are less prone to cracking, and this one is also a PARIS Dial, making it highly recommended.
The absence of the secret signature is also quite rare.
The hands are exceptionally clean, and the watch is in excellent overall condition.
The Buckle is a period-correct genuine Cartier 18k Deployant Buckle.
The watch is fitted with a Strap made to order by our shop.
