The Stepped Tank, a rare model even among vintage Cartiers.
This model was produced in limited quantities in three countries—New York, Paris, and London—around 1970 (approximately between 1973 and 1976).
There were subtle design differences depending on the region.
This particular model is either a Paris or London variant, featuring a push-back case with no screws on the case back.
Given they are both in Europe, the Paris and London models are so similar that it is difficult to distinguish between them. This model was sold in either Paris or London.
Since only 5,000 units of each were produced at the time, they are extremely rare.
Cartier watches with larger case sizes like this one were produced and circulated in smaller numbers, and full-gold versions have seen a significant price increase.
This particular watch features a Vermeil case and a standard white dial.
The overall condition appears to be very good.
The case condition shows only minor scratches with no dents. The plating remains in its original state and is well preserved. Although there are some areas where the plating is thin or worn, it has not been re-plated to respect its original condition.
