The Must series, including the Must Tank, which was released for the general public, is extremely famous.
Rare early Must Tanks that do not have the "Must de" inscription are called Pre-Musts and are considered "mysteries" among Cartier models due to their unusual characteristics.
This is a special Pre-Must.
It features a black dial, cushion case, and a concealed crown design, a shape rarely seen in Cartier Pre-Musts.
This type is extremely rare, and its excellent condition makes it a highly valuable item.
An interesting point is that this movement uses a Peseux movement.
I believe it would be quite interesting both as an entry-level piece and as a casual, understated watch.
Regarding the case condition, there is little sign of use, and very few dents or scratches.
The original plating remains well preserved.
The case back is very clean, with only minor scratches. There is some minor degradation of the plating, but it is slight.
The glass has minor scratches but is generally clean.
The dial is also very clean, with no scratches or dirt except for a small mark around the 6 o'clock position.
Furthermore, the small mark around the 6 o'clock position appears to be a piece of dust that got caught during the dial painting process at the time of manufacturing, so it seems to have been there from the beginning.
As a Pre-Must, it is considered to be in very clean condition.
The band is the original genuine band.
The buckle is an original Cartier GP buckle from that period.
New bands (non-original or custom-made) can also be arranged for a fee; please inquire if interested.
