The Tank Louis and Louis Cartier collections remain historically popular to this day.
The Must series, including the Must Tank released for the general public, is exceptionally well known.
Rare early Must Tanks without the “Must de” marking are known as Pre-Must models and are unusual variations considered something of a mystery even among Cartier watches.
This is a special Pre-Must model.
It features a Black Dial, a cushion-shaped case, and a concealed crown—an unusual configuration rarely seen in Cartier watches.
This type is exceptionally rare, and its excellent condition further enhances its collectible value.
An especially interesting feature is the use of a Peseux movement.
It would be an enjoyable choice both as an entry point into vintage watches and as a distinctive everyday watch worn for a change of pace.

The Strap is the original period strap.
The Buckle fitted is a period-correct genuine Cartier GP buckle.

## Condition and Warranty
The case shows little sign of wear, with very few dents or scratches.
Much of the original period plating remains intact.
The caseback has only minor scratches and is exceptionally clean. There is slight deterioration of the plating, but it is minimal.
The crystal has minor scratches but is clean overall.
The dial is also exceptionally clean, with no scratches or dirt apart from a small mark near the 6 o'clock position.
This mark near 6 o'clock may also appear to be dust trapped during the original dial painting process, suggesting it may have been present from the beginning.
For a Pre-Must, this example appears to be in remarkably clean condition.
