The Tissot Navigator World Time, a masterpiece unveiled in 1953, is now recreated as a 100th-anniversary model.
Despite being over 60 years old, this piece boasts excellent usability with its large 36mm face and half-rotor movement.
Many of this model were produced as GP plated versions.
While 14K models are occasionally seen, this particular item is an 18K model, which is rarely encountered, making it a top-tier model with very limited numbers.
The greatest feature of this watch is the combination of a half-rotor and world time function. The outer bezel displays the current time, while the inner world time disc shows a 24-hour display or the time in other cities.
Time adjustment is simple, requiring only a press of the pusher at the 2 o'clock position, making it user-friendly. Combined with the half-rotor, it offers practicality and clarity that remain relevant today.
It is a practical and affordable world time watch, and its 18K composition makes it a rare and valuable item.
Although there is some patina, the dial has relatively few blemishes, and considering its age, the overall condition is quite good, making this a rare find.
