This is the 150th Anniversary limited-edition Santos, Ref. 1566, in the quartz model. A special Santos model made in 1997 as a limited edition to commemorate Cartier’s 150th anniversary has arrived. That year, Cartier introduced numerous 150th Anniversary models, many of which now command a premium. Although this is not a numbered limited-edition model, it is extremely rare due to its near absence on the market. It is the LM size. Ref. 1566 is shared with other Santos Galbée models, but this is unquestionably a 150th Anniversary limited-edition model. In design, this is a special Santos Galbée model with a leather strap instead of the standard bracelet. It was sold in this Leather Strap configuration from the time of its original release, so the bracelet is not included. Unlike a standard Galbée, it features a classic design and distinctive details exclusive to this limited edition, including the L?C inscription on the dial, the C mark, and the 150th Anniversary designation. Although it is quartz, this is the only 150th Anniversary Santos Galbée Leather Strap model; no mechanical version exists. The Buckle is a genuine Cartier Deployant Buckle, and it is fitted with a new genuine Cartier Leather Strap. After purchase, repairs and servicing can be carried out at our store.
