Blancpain "Discobolante" YG Manual Winding Vintage

Today we're introducing the Blancpain Vintage Round, from the world's oldest watch brand, Blancpain.

Blancpain is a luxury manufacture brand that is said to be the oldest existing mechanical watchmaker in the world.
The company closed down in the 1970s due to the quartz crisis, then recovered and returned to its current position, but the model we are introducing today dates from before its closure.
It is a very rare design, and the brand itself is rarely seen in vintage.

Based on the serial number, the model is thought to be from the late 1950s to early 1960s.
While Blancpain is known for its FIFTY FATHOMS and Villeret models, vintage models are mostly expensive FIFTY FATHOMS, and solid gold dress watches are rarely seen.
The case has a special shape, with the inside of the enamel-decorated, line-drawn case having a mirror finish, and the outside having a hairline finish, making for an elaborate design.
The outer edges are also cleanly cut, resulting in a beautiful design with a sense of delicacy.
The fact that it is equipped with a very thin, slim movement is also wonderful.

The condition of the case has some minor scratches, but no major dents or deep scratches are visible.
The edges are important on this watch, and it appears to be completely unpolished, with very clean edges.
The hairline has some minor scratches, but it has been left as is to maintain its original condition.

The dial and hands are in very clean condition, despite some minor scratches.
Both the band and buckle are aftermarket.
