We are pleased to present this Ellipse Large with a Paris Dial, released around 1970–1980 as part of the Louis Cartier Collection.
The Ellipse traditionally comes with a Leather Strap, but this example is paired with a rare Cartier extension bracelet from the 1990s, creating an especially appealing look.
The Ellipse Large with a Paris Dial is rare in itself, but the standout feature is Cartier’s extension bracelet.
According to archival materials, it appears to have been sold in 1992 and was paired with the Tank Louis.
As shown in the images, the entire bracelet extends, allowing comfortable wear even on a smaller Wrist Size.
The extension mechanism expands gently, leaving little impression on the wrist, and provides an exceptionally comfortable fit.
This type of Cartier bracelet is extremely rare and is believed to have hardly ever appeared on the market.
It is secured with spring bars, so it can easily be switched back to a Leather Strap, and it may be fitted to other Cartier watches as long as the size is compatible.

Condition and Warranty
The overall condition is exceptionally clean.
The dial has minimal scratches and discoloration and is beautiful overall, although faint cracks are present across the dial.
They are difficult to see without close inspection under the right lighting, and because this is a Paris Dial, we have left it untouched. (They are difficult to make out in photographs, so we can send a video upon request.)
The case is also in good condition. It has some fine scratches but few dents, and it has intentionally received almost no polishing in order to preserve its original condition.
The caseback is clean with only minor scratches. The Serial Number remains clearly visible.
The crystal has few scratches as well, and overall condition is remarkably good considering its Era.
The bracelet has some minor scratches but is exceptionally clean.
Because this bracelet is extremely rare, it has been left unpolished. (Please let us know if you would like it polished.)
Of course, there is virtually no sagging or stretch.
Although the Wrist Size may appear small, the bracelet extends comfortably, so it will fit a standard wrist without issue.
