Cartier Stepped Tank XL Ref. 15716 NYCModel

This is Ref. 15716, a model sold in New York. It is an exceptionally rare example with the lowest production numbers. The Step Tank was produced in limited numbers around 1970—approximately between 1973 and 1976—in three cities: New York, Paris, and London. There are subtle design differences between each region. The NYC model differs considerably in the shape of the caseback, the presence or absence of screws, and the internal case construction, making it the most refined version. Production was extremely limited, with reportedly around 2,000 examples made. ## Condition and Warranty The overall condition appears to be excellent. The case has only minor scratches, with no dents or similar damage. The original plating remains firmly intact, and the case has never been polished. The caseback has only minor scratches and is relatively beautiful. The dial is clean, with no cracks or dirt. This is considered extremely rare. The crystal has almost no scratches.
