The quintessential Tank Louis Cartier from the Tank collection.
Its value has continued to rise in recent years, with particularly strong demand for the rare LM Manual-Winding models from around 1970.
This model, dating from the 1960s, is fitted with a Jaeger-LeCoultre movement, cal. 818/2.
With a crack-free dial and a well-preserved case, this is likely an example that will become increasingly difficult to find.
Compared with the Ref. 78086 from the 1970s–80s, the movement is of course different, but the dial’s exceptionally beautiful, smooth luster and the smaller Cartier lettering create an especially striking look with the Roman numerals. The greater presence of the dial itself is the most significant difference.
These watches have become very scarce, and well-preserved examples like this are increasingly difficult to find.

Condition & Warranty
The case has some small scratches, but overall it is in good condition, with few significant dents or scratches.There is no thinning of the case or rounding of its original shape. The gold hallmarks on the side remain visible. The case back does not have a Cartier hallmark, as this example was originally made without one. The Serial Number is fully intact.
It is essentially unpolished. (A small amount of scratch removal can be performed upon request.)
The crystal has some minor scratches, but no large or conspicuous marks and remains in clean condition.
The dial is clean and free of cracks. Most PARIS Dial examples have at least some cracking, but remarkably, this one has none at all.
There are slight stains and minor scratches on the dial, but it appears to be in remarkably clean condition.
The hands are beautifully heat-blued, with virtually no rust.
Overall, this is an exceptionally well-preserved example.
