The classic Tank Louis Cartier from the Tank collection.
In recent years, its value has continued to rise, particularly for rare LM Manual-Winding models dating from around 1970.
This Ref. 78086 is an early type, manufactured in the early 1000 serial-number range.
Compared with the later model, it is distinguished not only by the absence of the hidden signature but also by its gold hands.
Although the difference is subtle, this is an exceptionally rare example.
Unlike the mid- and Later Model versions, its hands are not blued, adding to its rarity.
The dial is also exceptionally clean and free of cracks, making this a highly recommended piece for those who appreciate rare Louis models.
Among 1970s Louis Cartier collections, well-preserved LM Manual-Winding models are scarce.
Its men's-size LM case, Manual-Winding movement, original PARIS Dial from the period, and early production status all add significant value.
The hands are originally black rather than blued.

Condition and Warranty
The case has minor scratches and other signs of wear, but is in good overall condition, with few significant dents or scratches.
There is no noticeable thinning of the case or rounding of its shape.
The caseback has light scratches and small dents, but no significant damage overall.
Both the case and caseback are essentially in an almost unpolished condition.
The crystal is original and in clean condition, with no particularly noticeable scratches.
The dial is clean and free of cracks. Most PARIS Dial examples have at least some cracking, but this one miraculously has none at all.
There is slight discoloration and a few very minor scratches, but the dial appears to be in remarkably clean condition.
Overall, this is an exceptionally well-preserved piece.
