A rare Step Tank model known only to vintage Cartier enthusiasts.
This is Ref.25716, a model sold in New York. It is an especially rare example, with one of the lowest production numbers. The face measures 27.5 cm, making this a well-proportioned boys' size.
The Step Tank was produced in limited numbers around 1970—approximately between 1973 and 1976—in New York, Paris, and London.
There are subtle design differences by region, and the NYC model differs considerably in the caseback shape, the presence or absence of screws, and the shape of the inside of the case. It is the most finely made of the models.
Production was extremely limited, reportedly totaling around 2,000 pieces.
The dial is the highly sought-after White Dial, making this an especially rare example. Well-preserved examples have become very difficult to find in recent years.
This square model has well-balanced proportions and should be comfortable to wear.
NYC models have risen sharply in value in recent years. In particular, the White Dial and excellent condition of this example make it exceptionally rare.

Condition and Warranty
The overall condition is excellent.The case has only minor scratches, with no dents. Some areas may be slightly thin, but the original plating remains in good condition.
The caseback has only minor scratches and is relatively clean.
The dial is clean, with very little discoloration and no cracks.
It has developed a slightly ivory tone over time, but this remains within an acceptable range.
The crystal has some minor scratches but is otherwise very clean.
There is a tiny, slight chip at the corner near 6 o'clock, but it is barely noticeable unless examined closely.
It does not affect use and is original, so it has been left as is.
The watch is fitted with its original Cartier GP Buckle from the period. It has some scratches, so those who prefer may have it replaced with a current GP Buckle.
