This time, we are pleased to introduce a Blancpain White Gold Round, from the world’s oldest watch brand.

Blancpain is a prestigious manufacture regarded as the world’s oldest existing mechanical watch brand.
After suspending operations due to the Quartz crisis in the 1970s, the brand was revived and returned to its current position. This example dates from the period before that hiatus.
Its design is exceptionally rare, and the brand itself is seldom seen on the vintage market.
This is the same model as our yellow-gold version, differing only in color.

Based on its Serial Number, this appears to be a model from the late 1950s to early 1960s.
Blancpain is best known for the FIFTY FATHOMS and Villeret, but among vintage models, high-priced FIFTY FATHOMS examples dominate, while solid-gold dress watches are rarely seen.
The case has a distinctive shape and features highly detailed engraving.
Since engraving was done by hand during this period, the result is exceptionally beautiful.
The outer edges are cleanly cut away, creating a beautiful design with a sense of delicacy.
It is also impressive that the watch is equipped with an exceptionally thin movement.
The crystal is faceted, and men’s models using a faceted crystal are extremely rare.
This is a delicate and exceptionally beautiful watch.

The case has some fine scratches consistent with age, but there are no significant dents or deep scratches.
The edges are especially important on this watch, and they appear to be completely unpolished and exceptionally well defined.
