Cartier Stepped Tank Boys' Ref. 25716 NYC Model Pre-Must

Among vintage Cartier watches, the Stepped Tank is a rare model known only to a select few.

This is Ref. 25716, a model sold in New York. It has the fewest units manufactured, making it a very rare piece.
The face size is 27.5mm, a perfect size for a boy's watch.
The Stepped Tank was produced in small numbers in New York, Paris, and London around 1970 (approximately between 1973 and 1976).
There are slight design differences depending on the region.
The NYC model has quite a few differences, such as the shape of the case back, the presence or absence of screws, and the shape of the inside of the case, making it the most elaborately crafted model.
It is said that an extremely small number, about 2,000 units, were manufactured.
The dial is the most popular white, making it a very rare piece, and well-preserved examples are rarely seen in recent years.
