Blancpain "Discobolante" YG Manual Winding Vintage

This is a vintage Blancpain Round, from the world's oldest watch brand.

Blancpain is a luxury manufacture brand said to be the oldest existing mechanical watchmaker in the world.
It ceased operations due to the quartz crisis in the 1970s, then revived and returned to its current position, but the item introduced here is from the period before it closed.
It has a very rare design, and it is a brand that rarely appears as a vintage item.

Based on the serial number, the model is thought to be from the late 1950s to early 1960s.
Blancpain is known for its FIFTY FATHOMS and Villeret models, but when it comes to vintage models, you mostly see expensive FIFTY FATHOMS, and solid gold dress watches are rarely seen.
The case has a unique shape, with an enamel-decorated line dividing the case into a mirror-polished inner section and a hairline-finished outer section, creating an elaborate design.
The outer edges are also cleanly cut, resulting in a beautiful design with a delicate feel.
The fact that it is equipped with a very thin movement is also wonderful.

The condition shows minor scratches on the case, but no major dents or deep scratches are observed.
The edges are important for this watch, and it appears to be in completely unpolished condition with very clean edges.
The hairline finish has some minor scratches, but it has been left as is to preserve its original condition.

The dial and hands are in very clean condition, despite some minor scratches.
Both the band and buckle are aftermarket.
