Cartier Stepped Tank Boys' Black Ref. 25716 NYC Model
The Stepped Tank is a rare, under-the-radar model among vintage Cartier watches. This is Ref. 25716, a low-production NYC model sold in New York, and an even rarer example with a Black Dial.
The Stepped Tank was produced in the mid-1970s for New York, Paris, and London, with differences in design and construction by region. NYC models are distinguished by features such as the shape of the case back, the presence or absence of screws, and the internal case construction. This example is equipped with Manual-Winding Cal. 2512.
With an approximately 27.5 mm square Case Size, this piece offers vintage compactness, a square case, and the striking presence of a Black Dial. The wrist shot was taken when the watch was previously sold, so please use it as a reference for the size.
The Buckle is an original Cartier GP from the period.

Condition and Warranty
The case has minor scratches and some areas where the plating has become thin, but no major dents. It remains unpolished with its original plating preserved. The case back has minor scratches, while the Serial Number remains clearly visible.
There are several faint cracks on the dial that are visible only under certain lighting, but there are almost no noticeable scratches or dirt, and it is in very beautiful overall condition. The crystal also has light minor scratches and signs of use, but it has been left as is because it is original.
