Boucheron Carré 18K YG Manual Winding Movement Tortoiseshell Dial

Vintage Boucheron has recently become a hot topic, featured by HODINKEE as a sought-after item.
We are pleased to introduce a rare Boucheron Carre manual-wind watch.

This is a special model featuring a rare material, genuine tortoiseshell, on its dial.
While it may look like wood grain, it is genuine tortoiseshell. You can appreciate the unique luster and beautiful patterns characteristic of tortoiseshell.
Although it does not feature the slide-and-remove clasp system commonly seen in watches from this era, its main characteristic is the tortoiseshell dial.

It also comes with an original buckle of a unique shape, which makes a strong impression.

Fine details are evident, such as the Clous de Paris pattern on the bezel and a crown designed to be recessed into the case, making it invisible from the front.
This is a very chic and rare piece.


In terms of condition, the case has minor scratches but no major dents.
There appear to be almost no chips on the bezel.
While unpolished, the case condition is quite good considering its age.
The case back has minor scratches, but the engravings and text are clear. It has been left as is to maintain its originality.

The dial, hands, etc., have some scratches and light dirt, but are considered quite clean given their age.
The glass also has light minor scratches but is generally clean.
There are no other particularly noticeable areas, and it has not been polished to maintain its original condition.
Overall, it is in good condition considering its age.

The band is an aftermarket band.
The buckle is uniquely shaped with a rather large pin, so it may be difficult to insert into the holes initially. (Please let us know if you would like the holes widened.)
Also, if the size does not fit, we can order a band in a different material.
