This time we're introducing the high-end manufacture brand, H. Moser.
Founded in 1828, it's a brand with a rich history, but it went out of business in 1979 due to the quartz crisis.
Today, it has been revived by the prestigious Meylan family and has become a luxury brand producing a limited number of watches with unique designs and mechanisms.
This piece is from before the brand's closure in 1979, and given that it's equipped with the Frédéric Piguet Cal. 71, which was released in 1971, it is believed to be a creation from between 1971 and 1979.
The Frédéric Piguet Cal. 70/71 is considered the prototype of the Cal. 502, which is used in current Breguet Classique models, and the movement has been in active use for over 50 years with its basic design unchanged.
It features an off-center rotor and a very thin construction.
This men's size watch features an 18kWG case with intricate detailing.
Vintage H. Moser watches are not widely known, so their circulation is not very high.
The condition is quite good, and it's an interesting piece historically.
The original 18kWG buckle is also included. (A band order is required if you wish to use it).
The case has some minor scratches but no major dents and is very clean.
The case back also has some minor scratches, but they have been left as is.
The case is basically unpolished but in very good condition.
The crystal appears to have few scratches and is clean to the naked eye.
The dial appears clean, though it has some minor scuffs and scratches.
The hands have some discoloration but have been left as is.
A non-original buckle is set. The original H. Moser WG buckle is also included.
A non-original band is set.
If you wish to use the original buckle, a separate band order is possible, so please inquire.
