’Rare Piece’’ Boucheron Carrée 18kYG Manual Wind Original Strap

We will notify you by email when this watch, the same model, or a related model becomes available.

Having been featured in HODINKEE in recent years, vintage Boucheron watches are now highly sought-after. We are pleased to introduce this rare Boucheron Carrée Later Model Manual-Winding watch.

This is a Carrée of the type known as the Later Model, produced from 1970 onward.

It features a rare and distinctive clasp system that is seldom seen today.
This patented system is smaller and lighter than a Deployant Buckle, comfortable to wear, and exceptionally easy to use.
Although it does not use a slide-out clasp system like the Reverso, it offers the advantage of allowing the length to be adjusted freely.

The Later Model is quite rare, with improved precision in the construction of the case and dial, as well as changes to the engravings on the case and movement.
A defining feature of this watch is that the dial is finished with the same Clous de Paris pattern as the case.

Condition and Warranty

The case has minor scratches but no major dents.
It is essentially unpolished, and considering its Era, the case is in remarkably beautiful condition.
The caseback has minor scratches, but the engravings and lettering have become somewhat faint, so it has been left as is.

The dial and hands have some scratches and light soiling, but considering their Era, they are believed to be in remarkably beautiful condition.
The crystal has minor scratches and small chips, but is beautiful overall.
There are no other particularly noticeable imperfections, and the watch has not been polished in order to preserve its original condition.
Overall, it is in good condition considering its Era.

The Strap shows some wear, but it is an original Boucheron Strap.
It remains fully usable, but a replacement can be ordered separately for those who are concerned about its condition.
However, creating a new Strap requires disassembling the existing one and removing the clasp, which means the current Strap must be sacrificed.
We therefore recommend replacing it when the current Strap has reached the end of its usable life.
