Patek Philippe, the world’s foremost manufacture, was founded in 1839.
This time, we are pleased to introduce a tonneau-shaped Patek Philippe made in 1911.
This exceptional piece features a platinum case and diamonds. Details are unknown, but given this unusual specification, it may have been made to order.
Patek Philippe watches from the 1910s rarely come to market. It is also unusual to find one that is fully operational and accompanied by its archive.
This watch was made in 1911, at a time when wristwatches were not yet commonplace.
Its historically evocative construction houses a pocket-watch-based movement in a tonneau case.
Assigned Reference 169.000, this model is distinguished by its Breguet hands and matte Roman-numeral dial.
The diamonds set into the bezel and crown, the platinum case, and the decorated Buckle on the Strap are all exceptional details; the Buckle fastens like a button.
These features clearly convey the highly aristocratic character of this watch.
PRODUCT DETAILS
Condition and Warranty
Although this watch is more than 100 years old, one of its notable qualities is its relatively good condition.
The case has some light scratches and other minor signs of wear, but there are few significant dents overall, and it remains in good condition.
We have not polished the case at all.
The dial, hands, and crystal have some dirt and scratches, but are all in relatively good condition.
We have commissioned an alligator Strap for this watch.
If the size is not suitable, we also accept separate custom orders.
