The construction is highly three-dimensional, with an exceptionally delicate transition between the polished and brushed surfaces of the flat bezel and C-line case. The edge angles and smoothness vary subtly from section to section, demonstrating a level of refinement that can only be described as quintessentially Patek. Blue-dial examples of this type have risen considerably in value. Silver dials remain in a more accessible price range, so this may be a good time to acquire one. ## Condition and Warranty One of the most notable features of this watch is its exceptional condition. The vintage components most susceptible to deterioration, including the dial and hands, have miraculously remained almost entirely free from aging. The case has some light hairline scratches, but is in excellent overall condition, with few major dents or scratches. There is almost no sign of case thinning or rounding of the shape, and the edges remain remarkably crisp. The watch had already received an exceptionally fine finish when we acquired it, so the polishing has been left exactly as it was. The finish is extremely beautiful. The caseback retains a Patek sticker. It has faded somewhat, but we have left it in place. The dial, hands, and crystal are all clean, with virtually no dirt or scratches.
