Cartier Tank Louis Early LM PARISDial Manual Wind Ref. 78086 No Dial Cracks

The quintessential Tank Louis Cartier from the Tank collection. In recent years, its value has continued to rise, with the rarity of LM Manual-Winding models from around 1970 increasing particularly sharply. This Ref. 78086 is an Early Model from the initial production batch, made in the early 300s of the serial range. Compared with the later type, the differences include not only the absence of hidden lettering but also slight variations in the design of the dial’s circular lines. Although subtle, these details make this an exceptionally rare dial and example. Unlike the mid- and Later Model versions, the hands are not blued, and the understated lettering gives it a highly classical impression. This is highly recommended for those who prefer a classic Louis. Among 1970s Louis Cartier models, LM Manual-Winding examples in good condition are scarce. Its value is further enhanced by the men’s-size LM case, Manual-Winding movement, original PARIS Dial from the period, and Early Model production.
