The Must Tank was the version of the historically enduring and still popular “Tank Louis” released for the general public.
Rare early Must Tanks without the “Must de” designation are called pre-Must Tanks and are unusual models considered something of a mystery even within Cartier’s history.
This is a rare square LM model.
Unlike the SM, the square LM uses the larger Cal. 7040 movement rather than Cal. 78, which is an especially interesting feature.
It would be an enjoyable choice both as an introduction to Cartier and as a watch to wear casually as a stylish change of pace.

## Condition and Warranty
The watch shows little sign of wear, and the original plating from the period remains firmly intact.
Because we wanted to preserve the original plating, the watch has hardly been polished. It does have some minor scratches, but its overall condition is good.
The hands and crystal are both clean, and it appears to be in exceptionally good condition for a pre-Must Tank.
