The Tank Américaine stands out among the Tank collection with its elegant, elongated case. This is the Ref. 1736 Large, two-hand Manual-Winding model released in the early 1990s, before CPCP.
It is powered by the Piaget-based Cal. 9P2, enabling a thinner case than the Automatic model. With a design that leads into the Tank Américaine CPCP introduced several years later, it represents an intriguing generation.
Our shop performed an overhaul in September 2023.
The thinness characteristic of a two-hand Manual-Winding watch and the well-balanced K18 white-gold case are particularly appealing. We selected this watch for its design, which connects it to the later Tank Américaine, and its Piaget-based Cal. 9P2, despite being a pre-CPCP model.
The Tank Américaine collection is characterized by an elongated case inspired by the Tank Cintrée. This Ref. 1736 is an early-1990s two-hand Manual-Winding model, with differences in its Dial markings and movement compared with later CPCP models.

Condition and Warranty
The case has minor scratches, but few large dents or noticeable marks, and the rhodium plating remains in good condition. The Dial and crystal are also in good condition. The Strap and 18K white-gold Buckle are both genuine Cartier pieces, and the Strap shows light signs of wear. Accuracy is within ±30 seconds per day when measured dial-up.
