Cartier Must de Cartier TankLM Black Dial

The Must de Cartier series was introduced by Cartier in the 1970s. It is one of the most iconic masterpieces that made Cartier watches famous. This black Roman dial Large existed only in the original Manual-Winding models released at launch. Unlike the ivory dial, which was also available with a quartz movement, it was produced in smaller numbers and has a particularly captivating character. Unlike the standard Must models, it features a distinctive black enamel dial with silver Roman numerals. The combination of a black-and-silver Manual-Winding Tank is unique to this model. It is equipped with the Cal. 78-1, also used in the high-end Louis Cartier line and Tank, making it a thoroughly serious watch despite being a Must. The outstanding feature of this watch is the excellent condition and beauty of its dial. Most black Roman dials have light cracks or scratches, but remarkably, this example has no cracks or scratches. The period Strap is also included, making this an exceptionally rare example in such well-preserved condition.
