BOVET Fleurier Dragon
Introducing the Fleurier D814 Dragon from the high-end manufacture brand, BOVET.
At the time, this model retailed for approximately 5 million yen.
While BOVET may not be widely known in Japan, it is a globally recognized ultra-luxury brand.
Known as a manufacture brand that limits its annual production to 800 pieces, with one-third being custom orders. Its standard lines range from approximately 3 million to 60 million yen, with custom orders having no upper price limit.
This is the BOVET Fleurier D814 Dragon, manufactured by BOVET around 2006-2008. Its retail price when announced was approximately 5 million yen.
The movement uses a manufacture caliber that BOVET develops and produces in-house.
The Fleurier is a core collection characterized by its pocket watch-inspired case and a dial adorned with guilloché decoration and finished with vibrant lacquer.
What truly catches the eye is the dragon sculpted on the dial. This piece showcases beautiful and delicate engraving with impressive color and power. The word "Bovet" written in kanji on the dial also evokes a sense of history.
(The typeface used is the original typeface from the pocket watch era, dating back to the 1900s.)
The blued steel hands are also distinctive, known as serpentine hands, a design BOVET has employed for over 100 years.
Both the case and buckle are made of WG, and the transparent case back reveals the beautiful movement, with artistic finishing.
Current models include the Amadeo Fleurier. While additional mechanisms have been incorporated, the basic design remains the same. The current models with engraved dials are about 43mm, making them slightly larger.
Personally, I find the 39mm size to be exceptionally practical and comfortable to wear.
There are minor scratches on the case, but no significant dents or deep scratches are observed. The rhodium plating layer is also well-preserved.
There are scratches on both the front and back glass, but they do not affect visibility to an unacceptable degree.
The dial and hands are in beautiful condition. (Please note that since BOVET dials are handmade from production, there may be slight inconsistencies in paint or minor scratches from the beginning. Your understanding in this regard is appreciated.)
The band is a brand new custom order from an external manufacturer specifically for BOVET. (It has almost the same quality as the original, with rubber lining applied.) The original used band is also included.
