The "Duoplan" is an ultra-small, dual-structure movement, a design unique to Jaeger-LeCoultre, which excels in complex structures.
In the past, Jaeger-LeCoultre utilized this technology to provide Duoplan movements to Cartier.
The crown, unlike conventional watches, is placed on the back, resulting in a perfectly symmetrical design. This movement prioritizes beauty when worn, and I recall that Cartier frequently used it for a period.
The black dial and the balanced Arabic numerals at 12 and 6 o'clock give this watch a sense of its era.
While slightly small by today's men's sizes, the Duoplan is rare, making it an ideal item for men who prefer smaller watches.
As a vintage item, there is some slight discoloration on the dial, but both the dial and hands are in relatively clean condition. The plastic crystal also has no major scratches. It was overhauled and had its mainspring replaced in November 2011, so you can use it with confidence.
While there are no major dents, we have preserved its original charm, so no refinishing has been done. If you are concerned, please consult us separately.
