The IW3508, with its historical design by Gerald Genta, was created to bring change to IWC, which was experiencing a period of stagnation at the time. Even today, the vintage Ingenieur remains one of the most popular series among enthusiasts.
This is a rare model that achieved ultra-high magnetic resistance of 500,000 A/m by using a special alloy for the escapement parts. (It is said that fewer than 3,000 units were produced.)
The 500,000 A/m is somewhat over-engineered; current IWC Ingenieur models have magnetic resistance of about 40,000 A/m, which shows just how remarkable this model was.
Due to its short production period, high cost at the time, and limited production of only about 3,000 units, it is rarely seen in circulation today.
The three-dimensional gold indices and the balance of the white dial make it an ideal item for everyday use.
The lugs have a unique movable design that conforms to the wrist.
While bracelet types are generally more well-known, the strap version is quite rare.
This kind of design is rarely seen in current models, possibly due to the effort involved in manufacturing.
The strap is original but shows some signs of use; however, it functions without issue.
The buckle is also original, so overall, it can be considered a beautiful item.
There are some light minor scratches, but it has not been polished, preserving its original texture.
