Cartier Pre-Must Tank Europe Manual Winding Model Ref. 4 No Cracks

The "Tank Louis," which has been historically popular, was released to the general public as the Must de Cartier Tank. The rare early Must de Cartier Tank is called the Pre-Must de Cartier Tank, and this particular model is an even rarer European Pre-Must de Cartier Tank, produced in smaller quantities. With its early bullet-shaped crown, it exudes an exceptional vintage charm. The European specification has a basic construction almost identical to the Tank Louis, with the main differences being that the case is vermeil instead of 18K gold, and the dial's inscription is in cursive rather than block letters. For this reason, it is popular for its appearance, which at first glance doesn't look like a Louis, but it is a considerably rare item. With the Louis models skyrocketing in price, this is a highly recommended piece. This particular item boasts a high degree of originality from its era, with its original plating on the case preserved as it was then, and a remarkably clean, crack-free dial. Although it is a crack-free item in excellent condition, I am offering it at a lower price due to some scratches and dents on parts of the case. Regarding its condition, it shows signs of use, but the case has minimal dents, and despite some signs of use, the original plating remains firmly intact. To preserve the original plating, it has not been polished extensively. Although there are scratches overall, I believe the condition is good. (There are scratches overall, but they have been left as is. They can be largely removed by polishing, but this is not recommended as it thins the plating, although it is possible to remove them.) There are some dents, but the overall condition is good. The case back also has minor scratches, but the plating remains solid, and the serial number is intact. While some dents and linear scratches are visible on the case back, it has been left as is without replating to maintain its originality (the plating remains). Both the hands and glass are clean, and for a Pre-Must, it is in remarkably good condition. The hands are blue, just like the Louis. The dial is essentially crack-free and without scratches. Some faint dirt may be visible in parts, but not at a noticeable level. Discoloration is also very minimal. Otherwise, despite some dirt in places, the overall condition is considered quite good.
