Vacheron Constantin is famous as the world’s oldest watch brand, founded in 1755.
This model was manufactured around the 1950s.
It is equipped with the hand-wound Cal. P454, and its 36 mm size was considered large for watches of this era.
This particular stainless steel and pink gold two-tone model is especially rare.
The combination of the two-tone color scheme and the dial’s hues is exceptionally beautiful, with an aesthetic and design that make it hard to believe the watch is over 70 years old.
It appears that the same model has previously been offered at a Sotheby’s auction.
With its 36 mm case and Vacheron Constantin hand-wound movement, it has specifications that remain highly practical to wear even today.
The case has some light scratches from use, but there are no noticeable dents, and it is in remarkably beautiful condition.
It appears to have received little, if any, polishing. The lugs are also in beautiful condition.
The crystal and dial have few scratches and are both in beautiful condition. The dial has slight fading and discoloration around the edges, but these are at a level that can be appreciated as part of its vintage character.
The hands have a beautiful tone and some patina, but overall, the condition is considered exceptionally good for a watch from the 1950s.
The strap is the original strap from the period, and the buckle is stainless steel.
The overall condition is excellent.
