Cartier Pre-Must Tank Small Manual-Winding European Model

The Must Tank was released for a wider audience as a version of the historically popular Tank Louis. Rare early Must Tanks are known as Pre-Must Tanks, and this is an even rarer European-market Pre-Must Tank produced in very limited quantities. Its early cannonball crown gives it an exceptional vintage character. The European version is constructed much like the Tank Louis, with the main differences being its vermeil rather than 18K gold case and its script rather than block-letter dial. As a result, its design does not immediately reveal it as a Louis, which contributes to its popularity. It is an exceptionally rare piece. With Louis models currently commanding high prices, this is an excellent alternative.
