Rare early Must Tanks are called Pre-Must Tanks, and this particular one is a European model Pre-Must Tank, produced in even smaller quantities.
It features an early cannonball crown, giving it an exceptionally good atmosphere.
The European specification is fundamentally almost identical in construction to the Tank Louis, with the main differences being that the case is vermeil instead of 18k gold, and the dial's lettering is cursive rather than block letters.
Because of this, it has a construction that, at first glance, doesn't look like a Louis, making it popular, but it's a considerably rare item.
