Having been featured in HODINKEE in recent years, Boucheron from before 1970 is currently a highly sought-after item.
The clasp system, which is patented and still in use today, allows the band to be attached and detached by sliding it, a unique feature at the time. The advantages of this system are that it allows for smart attachment and detachment of the watch, and the absence of a clasp around the wrist provides a very comfortable fit.
Furthermore, this gold model boasts exceptionally beautiful engraving on both the case and dial, making it a truly rare piece.
Regarding its condition, the case has minor scratches but no major dents. It is essentially unpolished, but the case condition is remarkably clean considering its age. A noteworthy point is the very sharp edges of the case, indicating that it has been kept unpolished for many years, making it a historically rare model.
The dial, hands, etc., have some scratches and dirt, but are considered clean for their age. While the hands show some dullness, they have developed a nice patina and are thought to be in good condition. The crystal is also clean. There are no other particularly noticeable areas, and it has not been polished to maintain its original condition. Overall, it is in excellent condition considering its age.
Since the buckle is a special type of Boucheron clasp, we offer a free band creation service at our store, tailored to the purchaser's wrist size. After purchase, we will measure your wrist circumference and order the band, which will then be set and delivered with the watch at the time of delivery.
