Cartier Tonneau LM Hand-wound Guilloché PARIS Dial 1980s
Introducing the Tonneau LM, a popular and larger-sized piece from the 1980s collection.
The "Tonneau" is a dress watch characterized by its elegant curves. This model was released in the mid-1980s, long before the CPCP collection, as a re-issue of the 1920s Tonneau.
Unlike CPCP models, this watch has a moderately classical feel, with "PARIS" at the 6 o'clock position on the guilloché dial and vintage-style typography.
Furthermore, it is a rare larger LM size for a vintage Cartier, making it recommended for those seeking a slightly more substantial vintage Cartier timepiece.
The case is in good condition overall, with few major dents or scratches.
The case shape is well-preserved, with no signs of rounding. It appears to have undergone minimal polishing.
There are almost no scratches on the crystal or hands.
The original guilloché dial is also in excellent condition, with no cracks.
While there are some slight areas of discoloration, there is no fading or cracking, and it remains in good condition.
Overall, it is considered to be in very good condition.
The buckle is an adjustable Cartier genuine 18k YG D-buckle, and the band is a custom-made aftermarket product.
(A new band would need to be custom-made, but it is possible to replace it with an 18KYG Cartier D-buckle from the 1980s if desired; please contact us if interested.)
