This time we're introducing the high-end manufacture brand H. Moser.
While it's a brand with a long history, founded in 1828, it went out of business in 1979 due to the quartz crisis.
Today, it has been revived by the prestigious Meylan family and has become a luxury brand that produces a small number of watches with unique designs and mechanisms.
This particular piece is from before the brand's closure in 1979. Given that it is equipped with Frédéric Piguet's Cal. 71, which was announced in 1971, it is believed to be a work from 1971-1979.
The Frédéric Piguet Cal. 70/71 is essentially the prototype for the Cal. 502, which is still used in the current Breguet Classique. With its basic design remaining unchanged, this movement has been active for over 50 years.
It is characterized by an off-center rotor and a very thin construction.
This men's size features an 18k white gold case with intricate detailing.
Vintage H. Moser watches are not widely known, so their circulation is not very high.
The condition is quite good, and it's an historically interesting piece.
The original 18k white gold buckle is also included (a band order is required if you wish to use it).
The case has minor scratches, but it is in very clean condition with no major dents.
The case back also has minor scratches, but these have been left as they are.
The case is essentially unpolished and in very good condition.
The crystal appears to have very few scratches and is clean to the naked eye.
The dial may have some minor scuffs and scratches, but it is considered clean.
The hands have some discoloration, but this has been left as is.
A non-original buckle is currently set. The original H. Moser WG buckle is also included.
A non-original strap is currently set.
If you wish to use the original buckle, a separate strap order is possible, so please inquire.
