Introducing a rare Audemars Piguet Millenary Blue Dial Automatic, from one of the world's top three brands, Audemars Piguet.
The Millenary is characterized by its beautiful oval shape, inspired by the Colosseum in Rome.
This is an early model of the Millenary, a rare bracelet type that was only sold during the initial production.
While the Millenary often evokes an image of a dress watch, this bracelet type exudes a strong "luxury sports" feel.
The bracelet's design is also exquisite, offering a different kind of luxury and playfulness compared to the Royal Oak.
The 39mm face size was standard for men's watches at the time, but due to its oval shape, it doesn't appear too large even by today's standards.
I believe it would also suit women who prefer a larger face.
This model is equipped with AP's thin automatic movement, Cal. 2225.
This movement was also used in the Royal Oak at the time and is notably thin.
While the later skeleton movements of the Millenary are also very beautiful, I believe this model, with its small face and thin movement, is equally appealing.
The case is in excellent condition, with only minor scratches and dents, and no major damage or stains.
The case back has some scratches and minor nicks, but it has been left mostly unpolished to maintain its originality.
The dial is a clean white.
Minor dirt and scratches are only noticeable upon close inspection with a loupe. The condition is very good.
The hands and crystal also have very few scratches or dirt and are clean.
The bracelet has few scratches or dents, and no sagging, making it very clean.
Overall, the watch is in very good condition.
