Cartier Premast Tank European Hand-Winding Model Ref. 4
The "Tank Louis," which is historically and currently popular, was released to the general public as the Must Tank.
A rare early Must Tank is called a Pre-Must Tank, and this particular model is a Europe-specific Pre-Must Tank, produced in even smaller quantities.
With its early cannonball crown, it has an exceptionally good atmosphere.
The European specification has a basic construction almost identical to the Tank Louis, with the main differences being that the case is vermeil instead of 18k gold, and the dial's lettering is in cursive rather than block letters.
Therefore, it is popular because at first glance it doesn't look like a Louis, but it is quite a rare item.
With the Louis's price soaring, this is a highly recommended piece.
Regarding its condition, the case has very few dents or scratches, and the plating is well preserved.
To retain the original plating, it has mostly not been polished, so there are some scratches, but I believe the condition is good.
The case back also has minor scratches and very slight dents, but the plating is well preserved, and the overall condition is good.
The dial, hands, and crystal are all clean, and for a Pre-Must, it appears to be in quite good condition.
In particular, the dial has very few stains, and it is in a remarkably clean state with no cracks, scratches, or discoloration.
The buckle is the original GP from that period.
Overhauled and maintained.
The photos of it being worn are of a previously sold model and are for illustrative purposes only.
