Rare Baby Chrono MOVADO 18kYG Chronograph Manual Winding ref.9025
This time, we'd like to introduce the Movado Baby Chrono 18kYG Manual Wind.
It is widely known that the famous El Primero, born in 1969, was a collaborative effort between Movado and Zenith.
This particular piece, dating from around 1940, is a rare find, featuring the manual-wind cal.M90 movement housed in a 30.5mm YG case, predating the release of the El Primero.
Known colloquially as the ''Baby Chrono'', its 30.5mm size was considered small for a chronograph of that era, a time when manufacturers competed to produce compact case sizes.
An interesting feature of this M90 is that the chronograph operation for stop and reset are reversed from the usual sequence.
The hands are beautiful snake hands, in excellent condition, and the movement's finish is also exquisite. Truly a connoisseur's delight.
Regarding its condition, the case has minor scratches but no major dents or damage.
The dial, hands, etc., have some scratches and dirt, but are considered quite clean given their age.
The crystal is free of scratches and very clean.
There are no other particularly noticeable areas, and it has not been polished to maintain its original condition.
Overall, it is in good condition considering its age.
The buckle is an aftermarket GP. The band is also aftermarket.
It has been maintained.
