This is a rare WG Vendôme model with a PARIS dial, even among the Louis Cartier collection.
Introducing the Ref. 78090, Vendôme LM White Gold.
This watch is packed with highly rare features for its era: white gold, manual winding, and a PARIS dial.
This WG Vendôme is a WG model produced in very limited quantities for a restricted period in the early 1970s.
Since its production was quite limited, it is a much rarer collector's item than its YG counterpart.
This WG model is almost never found on the market. (The reference number is the same for both YG and WG during this period.)
Many people are probably looking for this Louis Cartier collection or a 1970s WG hand-wound model.
The condition is good, and the PARIS dial is also a nice combination.
The case condition is excellent, with only light minor scratches and no major dents or scratches overall.
The case has been polished minimally, so it does not appear worn thin, and the rhodium plating is clean.
The glass is original with very few scratches.
There are a few faint cracks on the dial that are visible upon close inspection, but they are not very noticeable. You would have to squint under certain lighting to see them. (If you would like a closer look, please let us know and we can send you a video.)
Other than that, there are almost no scratches or dirt, and the discoloration is minimal, making for a beautiful PARIS dial. The hands show no discoloration and are a beautiful blued steel.
The buckle is a rare original Cartier 18k WG from that period, and the band is a custom-made aftermarket band.
