The main feature of this watch is its distinctive dial and bezel design, known as Zephyr.
It was originally created for the American market with a simple yet modern design that is no longer seen today, making it a model that continues to be very popular.
This Ref. 1038 is a model from around 1970, so typically a riveted bracelet or a folded-link bracelet would be period-correct, but this one has a bracelet made in 1996.
While not period-correct, this bracelet offers better usability and durability, and arguably a sleeker design that might even be a better fit.
It would also look great with a leather strap, making it a highly recommended piece.
The case condition is good overall, with minor scratches but no significant dents or deep scratches.
It has been lightly maintained with a light polish, but no areas have been excessively buffed.
