SEIKO 1st Credor Locomotive Gerald Genta Design
Introducing the Credor Locomotive, a model created by SEIKO after commissioning the famous designer Gérald Genta.
This model also appeared in Gérald Genta's handwritten sketches and is highly regarded as a masterpiece on par with the Royal Oak and Nautilus.
It is said that 5,000 units of the Locomotive were produced, with a design inspired by "steam locomotives."
The design of the case and dial is beautiful, and I believe it's no exaggeration to say that it even surpasses the Royal Oak and Nautilus in terms of rarity.
Differences from the current Credor, which was re-released as a limited edition of 300 pieces, include quartz or automatic movement, stainless steel or titanium material, and differences in dial patterns.
Personally, I think this older type has a good weight to it, and the presence of the dial pattern, with its thicker, more distinct radiating lines, is every bit as good as the current model (see the 7th comparison image).
Since models in good condition are rarely in circulation, this model is appreciating in value daily.
Regarding its condition, both the case and bracelet have minor scratches, but there are no major dents or scratches.
The dial, hands, and crystal also have very few scratches or dirt, and are considered clean given their age.
There are minor scratches on the bezel, but it has not been polished to maintain its original condition. (It's likely that a light polish would clean it up beautifully).
The original film remains on the case back, so it has been left as is.
Overall condition is very good.
