The Tank Normale, said to be the prototype of the Tank series, is currently the most talked-about model.
It garnered attention with its limited re-release of 100 pieces in 2023, though that version differs from the original with a slightly larger size, a silver dial, and a case with a brushed finish.
Given that the limited edition is essentially unobtainable and retailed for nearly 5 million yen, the value of this original piece is expected to increase.
Among the Louis Cartier Collection of the 1970s, it had a particularly low production number, and few are currently in circulation.
This is an exceptionally valuable piece, featuring a hand-wound movement and an original PARIS dial.
While the dial is clean, there are cracks visible throughout.
They are noticeable depending on the light, but difficult to discern without close inspection.
Though I wouldn't recommend it given it's a rare PARIS dial, those concerned might consider a dial replacement through Cartier's complete service.
