The Tank Louis Cartier is the quintessential Tank series. In recent years, its value has continued to rise, and the rarity of the LM manual-winding models, especially those from around 1970, has increased. This particular piece is quite rare, having undergone a complete service at Cartier and featuring a new PARIS dial. Generally, even with a PARIS dial, if the dial is replaced during a Cartier complete service, it is usually changed to a "swiss made" inscription. However, this is a rare item that was replaced with a PARIS dial. Although the standards and conditions for this PARIS dial are unclear, it is undoubtedly a genuine item. Such pieces seem to occur very rarely. The official repair and complete service included glass replacement and movement overhaul. The dial was also officially replaced during the previous repair, so it is pristine white with no cracks. Normally, PARIS dials circulate as original pieces from that era, but this one was changed to a PARIS dial through official repair. In recent years, the color of officially repaired dials has been whiter than dials from around 1970-1980, characterized by a strong, ceramic-like luster. It also offers high visibility and durability. It was officially serviced by Cartier in May 2023. The completed dial is made of a material that is resistant to cracking, so the PARIS dial is in excellent condition and very suitable for daily use. Overall, the condition is good, with few major dents or scratches. It has been lightly polished as part of the complete service. Scratches and dirt on the case are also very minimal. The case engravings remain clear, and the case shape has been preserved as it was at the time. The glass, dial, and hands are free of scratches and dirt. The buckle is a very rare early 18k buckle from the 1970s. The band is a genuine Cartier band with little signs of use.
