Among vintage Cartiers, the Stepped Tank Jumbo is a rare model known only to a select few. This is Ref. 15716, a model sold in New York, and it is the rarest variant with the fewest units produced. The Stepped Tank was produced in small numbers in New York, Paris, and London around 1970 (approximately between 1973 and 1976). There are subtle design differences depending on the region. The NYC model has quite a few differences, such as the shape of the case back, the presence or absence of screws, and the internal case shape, making it the most elaborately crafted model. It is said that only about 2,000 units of this model were manufactured, an extremely low number. The dial is the most popular white, making this a very rare piece, and it's rare to see one in such good condition these days. This NYC model has seen a significant increase in value in recent years. In particular, this white dial and its excellent condition make it a truly rare item. The overall condition appears to be very good. The case is in good condition with only minor scratches and no dents. The plating is still original and well-preserved, remaining unpolished.
