The Tank Louis Cartier, a classic of the Tank series, model 78086.
In recent years, its value has continued to rise, with the scarcity of LM manual-winding models, especially those from around 1970, increasing.
This particular model is a WG PARIS dial, which is extremely rare in the market. It has undergone Cartier's complete service, and its PARIS dial makes it a very rare item.
Around 1970, WG models were produced in very limited numbers, making them highly rare collector's items even today.
Among the Louis Cartier collections of the 1970s, this LM manual-winding model is in excellent condition, which is uncommon.
It is a highly rare item, featuring the men's size LM, manual-winding movement, WG, the original PARIS dial from that era, and notably, no cracks whatsoever.
It is very rare to find an individual piece in such good condition, making it a valuable addition to any collection.
Although there are minor scratches, the overall condition is good, with few major dents or scratches.
There is no thinning of the case or rounding of its shape. The gold engraving on the side also remains.
The glass is also in clean condition with no noticeable scratches.
It has received light polishing during Cartier's complete service. The rhodium layer also remains, indicating a clean condition.
The dial is clean and has no cracks. Most PARIS dials usually have some cracks, but miraculously, this one has none.
Although it underwent a complete service, the dial remains the original 1970s dial. There is no dirt, discoloration, or scratches, and it is in extremely clean condition.
The dial is a beautiful white.
The buckle is a very rare Italian-made, genuine Cartier 18k WG buckle. (Although it has a special shape, it is undoubtedly original. This type is rarely circulated.)
The band is aftermarket and has a length of up to 18cm.
It received a complete service at Cartier in July 2023. It comes with a manufacturer's warranty and is in good condition, making it a recommended collector's item.
