Introducing the Girard-Perregaux 2-Counter Chronograph Valjoux 22.
This is a Girard-Perregaux chronograph released in the 1940s.
It is a rare chronograph that uses the high-end Valjoux 22 movement of its time, and features a pillar wheel, characteristic of luxury chronographs.
Girard-Perregaux watches equipped with the Valjoux 22 movement, with dial and case in such excellent condition, are extremely rare.
Furthermore, its 38mm case was considered large at the time, but is a perfect size for a modern chronograph. The lug design is also stylish and well-suited for contemporary tastes.
Overall, the condition is good with few major dents or scratches. The 10-20 micron gold plating is also in good condition with little thinning.
The case has not thinned and maintains its original condition.
Both the dial and hands show some age-related deterioration, but are sufficiently clean.
Both the band and buckle are aftermarket.
It has been overhauled by our store. The chronograph movement and reset function are both good.
